Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To process a strip, while the defects of the strip is removed, by leaving a divided and remaining undispensed coiled strip as it is and, after dispensing into a processing equipment a different strip from a different pay-off reel, newly dispensing into the processing equipment. CONSTITUTION:A strip 25 which is being dispensed from a pay-off reel 1 into a processing equipment 5 is suspended in the middle, the strip 25 is divided into two by a cutting device 19, while a different strip 26 is dispensed from a different pay-off reel 2 into the processing equipment 5, the defective part of the divided and remaining undispensed coil 23 is cut off by the cutting device 19, and after the different strip 26 is dispensed from the different pay-off reel 2 into the processing equipment 5, the undispensed coil 23 is newly dispensed into the processing equipment 5. Consequently, the time consuming replacement of a coil is unnecessitated, and a drop in productivity is prevented without reducing a passing speed.
