METHOD OF AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING HEAT TRANSFER TUBE CONSTRUCTION

PURPOSE:To mass-produce a tube panel of high quality in a small space. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of intermediate lattices 3 each having a number of apertures 3a are positioned. Inserted into these intermediate lattices 3 are heat transfer tubes 1 having been subjected to edge preparation. Then short-pass prevention plates 4 are mounted to make an integral tube group. The tube group is inverted 90 degrees to assume a position, in which a length of a header 2 is made vertical. Then while remaining in such position, an operation is conducted which includes welding of the header 2 and the heat transfer tubes 1, X-ray inspection, stress relieving annealing, non-destructive inspection, visual inspection and dimensional inspection of the weld. Finally, a tube panel A is subjected to pressure test with lengths of the heat transfer tubes 1 positioned in a vertical direction.
