Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the control relaibility of a multiplex communication equipment by storing correctly the connection state when a fault is recovered and joining the multiplex communication. CONSTITUTION:A multiplex communication equipment contains plural control units connected to a multiplex communication line 9 and each of these control units is provided with a self-fault diagnosing means 15 which diagnoses the fault and its recovery of its own transmission/reception means 10 and a return means 16 which returns to the multiple communication after the recovery of the fault. When the means 15 decides that the fault of the means 10 is decided and then recovered, the means 16 rewrites the connection state based on the first control signal received from the control unit except the one having the faulty means 10.
