SQUEEZE FILM DAMPER

PURPOSE:To prevent oil leak with a simple structure by interposing oil in the gap between a vibrating surface and a supporting surface and installing an elastic film which covers the gap part and whose edge parts are fixed through the plastic deformation on the member side for the constitution of two surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The oil stored in an oil reservoir 5 is supplied into a gap 1 formed between damper supporting part 3 and a damper movable part 2. The plates 6 and 7 formed integrally with the damper supporting part 3 extend from the side parts on the outer peripheral sides of the damper movable part 2 and the damper supporting part 3, and an elastic film 4 is arranged, over the gap 1, on the side parts of the damper movable part 2 and the damper supporting part 3. On the elastic film 4, the bellows-shaped creases are formed, and clossly attached through the plastic deformation after both the edges are enclosed on the plates 6 and 7, and a perfect sealed part is formed. Accordingly, the damper movable part 2 and the damper supporting part 3 can be relatively shifted freely, having the gap 1 as boundary, and the outside leak of the oil is prevented.
