METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR PURIFICATION OF SEA WATER UTILIZING TIDAL HEIGHT FLUCTUATION

PURPOSE:To provide the method and equipment for purifying a large volume of the polluted sea water in a closed sea area, etc., by utilizing tidal height fluctuations. CONSTITUTION:This purification equipment for sea water is constituted by disposing a closed purifying water area enclosed by an embankment 1 within the sea water area having the tidal height fluctuation, stacking catalyst carriers capable of fixing microorganisms to dispose a contact oxidation section 2 on the inner side of the embankment, disposing a storage inlet 3 for temporarily storing the sea water introduced from a sea water introducing pipe 5 and a water spraying path 4 connected to the storage inlet above the oxidation section and providing the embankment on the other side with a purified sea water discharge gate 6 opened and closed by the tidal height fluctuations. As a result, the need for driving power is eliminated and aeration is effectively executed by utilizing the tidal height difference, thereby, the initial cost is reduced and the efficiency of the aeration is improved.
