THERAPEUTIC AGENT FOR HEPATOSIS AND 1,3-BENZOXATHIOL DERIVATIVE

PURPOSE:To obtain a therapeutic agent for hepatosis containing a 1,3- benzoxathiol derivative including new compounds as the active component, having an excellent improving effect on hepatopathy and excellent in stability. CONSTITUTION:A therapeutic agent for hepatosis containing a compound of formula I [X is O or S; Y is thiocarbonyl or methylene; R is H, a halogen, cyano, an alkyl which may be substituted, an alkoxy which may be substituted, an alkylthio, an acyloxy, an acyl, NR R (R and R are each H, an acyl, an alkyl, an aryl, etc.), dihydropyridyl, CONR R (R and R are each H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, an aryl, etc.), an alkenyl which may be substituted or an alkoxycarbonyl; (n) is 1 or 2] or its pharmacologically permissible salt, e.g. 1,3-benzoxathiol-2-thione as the active component. Among the compounds of formula I, compounds of formula II [R and R are each H, an acyl, an alkyl, an aryl, an arylalkyl, heteroarylalkyl or an (alkylthio) thiocarbonyl, provided that both R and R are not an acyl in the fame time] are new compounds.
