CONTAINER WITH HOOD

PURPOSE:To load and unload cargo from above and side using crane, forklift, etc., by a method wherein, at the time of loading and unloading a heavy and large cargo, a hood is temporarily drawn together to outside of the one end part of a container to enable both the side parts and roof part of the container to be opened. CONSTITUTION:A corner post 5 is erected at each of the four corners of floor 1 and a container body C is provided which has two side parts, a roof part and one open end part T. The container body also has a hood part 11 which covers an opening part and is capable of freely expanding and contracting in the direction of the open end part T and whose width is made smaller than the distance between the corner posts 5 at the open end part T. The individual rollers 13 separately provided in the lower end parts of inverted U-shaped hood frames, 12 are engaged with a sliding rail 14 slidable a predetermined distance to the outside of the open end part T on the fixed rails 15 provided on both the sides of the floor 1. At the time of loading and unloading cargoes, therefore, both the side parts and the roof part can be opened to enable the loading and unloading operation to be performed by crane, forklift, etc., despite the existence of the hood part and the handling of the hood part is extremely easy.
