PLUG CONNECTOR

PURPOSE:To suppress the cost of components and reduce the man-hours for assembly by installing a cable clamp to clamp a cable led into the body at the tail of the barrel of connector in a single piece structure, and eliminating the necessity any holddown screw for fastening. CONSTITUTION:The body 1 of a plug connector is configured with a cylindrical shell 4, bushing 5 fitted at its tail, and cable lead-in hole 6 through which a cable is introduced, while the connector part 2 is composed of a columnar insulator 7 to be removably fitted in the housing of the receptacle member of connector and a barrel 8 to enclose the insulator 7. The barrel 8 is fitted in a single piece with a cable clamp 15 which clamps the cable introduced into the body 1 from the lead-in hole 6 and prevents the cable from slipping off. The insulator 7 is set in the barrel 8 from the foremost extremity and a latch spring 14 is set in an accommodation groove, and a holddown screw 3 is engaged by a detent hole 20, and the connector part 2 is secured to the body 1. This ensures suppression of the cost for components and reduction of the man-hours for assembly.
