SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC EMULSION AND SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and to reduce fog and to improve latent image stability by incorporating at least each cane kind of monomethinecyanine and trimethinecyanine dyes, and specified strong color sensitizer. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic emulsion contains at least each one kind of monomethinecyanine and trimethinecyanine dyes and strong color sensitizer represented by the formula in which each of R1-R4 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, of a heterocyclic group; each of R5-R8 is a substituent; each of L1 and L2 is a methine group; Z is an O, S, Se, or Te atom or >C(R9)(R10) car >N(R9); and each of R9 and R10 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, car a heterocyclic group. The monomethinecyanine dye and the trimethinecyanine dye are added each in a solid state to the silver halide photographic sensitive material.
