Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To clean off the electrolyte and foreign matter depositing on the surface of a metallic strip and to eliminate the contamination of the plated surface in the production of an electroplated metallic strip by bringing steam into contact with the strip after electrolysis. CONSTITUTION:In the equipment for electroplating a metallic strip 1, steam is discharged from steam feed ports 8 opposed at a fixed distance from the strip 1 on the strip 1 traveling from a squeeze roll toward a conductor roll 2. Consequently, steam is condensed on both surfaces of the strip 1, the electrolyte and foreign matter depositing on the strip 1 surface are cleaned off by the condensed water, and a beautiful surface appearance is obtained.
