Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a preceding cargo detecting device for a steel sheet coil to perform rapid and reliable detection even under a state wherein visibility is low owing to the presence of quantities of steam in a building. CONSTITUTION:When it is detected by a steam detecting sensor 4 that steam in a space below a crane trolley is present, hot air is blown in a space below the trolley by means of a hot air generating device 3 installed to the trolley to gasify steam. Visibility of a space below the trolley is brought into an excellent state to perform detection of the preceding cargo of a steel sheet coil.
