Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To remove scum surely with a skimmer which has a adjusting function of the amount of inflow water and is equipped with a floating weir to allow rough, large blocks of scum to pass. CONSTITUTION:A scum skimmer 7 for discharging scum from an inflow opening comprises a gate 2 installed on the upstream side of the skimmer, an apparatus which is connected with the upper part of the gate and opens or closes the gate, and a floating weir 4 in which a float 5 is installed on the upstream side of the gate to adjust the amount of inflow water. An operation mechanism is installed which presses the floating weir 4 to increase temporarily the depth of water of the weir 4.
