Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To surely prevent the occurrence of a fatal 5 such as a head crush by detqcting signs of such a fault as a head crush during operation without bringing an increase of structural size and a deterioration of working efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a contact detecting circuit 50 for detecting contact between a head 1 and a disk 2 due to their electricity conductive phenomenon. Removal of interposition by intentionally executing CSS and moreover, registration of a contact detecting position and inhibition of access, etc., are operated in accordance with the coincidence/noncoincidence of a contact detecting cycle and a rotating cycle of the disk 2, thus evading the fatal fault such as a head crush, etc., without fail.
