BOILER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce an earthquake load acting against a supporting iron structure by a method wherein seismic ties assembled with an oil damper for producing a resisting force proportional to a relative speed are mounted at each of upper and lower levels of a center of gravity of a boiler main body, respectively. CONSTITUTION:Four flexible ties 10 (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) of seismic ties are located at four locations and similarly four link type ties 11 (11a, 11b, 11c and 11d) are mounted at four locations. The link type ties 11 are constructed to have an oil damper 13 assembled therein and the oil damper type ties 11 produce a drug force proportional to the relative speed. The mounting levels of these seismic ties are one of the upper and lower parts of the boiler main body, respectively. With such an arrangement, the seismic ties may produce a drug force of which value is proportional to the relative speed irrespective of a size of seismic responding amplitude.
