Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a metal complex which is prepared by allowing silver ion to chelate with specific ligands and has a color from nothing to light yellow, resistant to photodecomposition, bondable to surfaces of glass or the like with high durability, thus useful as an antimicrobial agent. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [X is N-containing heterocyclic ring; Y is NH, N(CH3); Z is NO3, ClO4, CH3COO; R, R' are lower alkyl; (a) is integer of 0 to 2; (b) is 0 or 1 (integer); (c) is 1 to 3 (integer); (d) is 1 to 3, respectively]. For example, silver ion complexes a ligand of formula II to give the objective complex of formula I.
