OPTICAL RECORDER

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of reproduced signals at the front edges of recording marks and to improve the shapes of these recording marks. CONSTITUTION:The front edge of the recording mark 9 formed like a tear drop by a first laser beam 5A is reheated by a second laser beam 5B before the temp. at this front edge falls sufficiently, by which the heat diffusion to the periphery of the front edge is suppressed and the front edge having the shape approximately equal to the shape of the rear edge is formed in the prescribed position and the rectangular recording mark is obtd. Then, the quality of the reproduced signals is improved and the increase in jitters by the shape defect of the front edges of the recording marks is suppressed. The recording system suitable for higher densities is thus obtd.
