CONSTITUTION:This method for formation of the scale of the ruler plate 1 consists in forming the scale 3 on the ruler plate 1 by irradiating the ruler plate 1 with a laser 2. The method consists of a first stage for forming the scale 3 in the prescribed position of the ruler plate 1 by irradiating the ruler plate 1 with the laser 2 and a second stage for melting burrs 4 formed in a projecting state on the outer periphery of the scale 3 formed by the first stage to lower the height of the burrs 4 by irradiating the burrs 4 with the laser 2.
