SURFACE ACOUSTIC WAVE ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To provide a surface acoustic wave element capable of giving a low profile by fixing the electrode pattern surface of a piezoelectric substrate to a holder. CONSTITUTION:The electrode pattern surface of the piezoelectric substrate 8 is fixed to the holder 5. That is, the approximate center part of the electrode pattern surface of the piezoelectric substrate 8 is fixed to the holder 5 by an adhesive material 12 and also the side edge part of the electrode pattern surface is fixed to the holder 5 by a conductive adhesive material 13. The adhesive material 12 serves also as a sound absorbing material for preventing acoustic coupling and the conductive adhesive material 13 is also jointed to the pat part 7 of the holder 5 and serves the function of wires as well. A gap for the thickness of the adhesive material is maintained between the electrode pattern surface and the surface of the holder 5 and the substrate is fixed to the holder surface and held.
