| Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To enhance the current interruption performance of a switch by enabling an arc generated between contacts when current is interrupted to be efficiently cooled down. CONSTITUTION:When a fixed contact 1A and a moving contact 2A are separated from each other, granulated insulating material 5 is caused to impinge on an arc 3 generated between the contacts 1A, 2A. The granulated insulating material impinges on the arc and thereby the arc can be cooled from inside by the impinging granulated insulating material and the efficiency of cooling of the arc is greatly enhanced whereby a switch excellent in current interruption performance can be obtained. |
