Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device in a radiograph reader. CONSTITUTION:The radiograph reader is composed of a convergence guide 22 and an photodetector 28. The convergence guide 22 is made of a light transmissible material, has two incident end planes 24a and 24b and is formed so as to transmit light entering from respective incident end planes 24a and 24b to one photodetector 28 from a light exit end plane 26. The convergence guide 22 converges accelerated phosphorescent light emitted from the surface of a stimulable phosphor sheet 5 from the incident end plane 24a and that emitted from the rear surface from the incident end plane 24b by the scanning of stimulating light 7, respectively. The accelerated phosphorescent light transmitted to the photodetector 28 has an added state.
