DATA BASE RETRIEVING DEVICE AND METHOD

PURPOSE:To retrieve document information from a public data base, and to search a retrieving condition matching. CONSTITUTION:An input retrieving condition constituted of plural retrieval key words, relevance and significance of each retrieval key word, and coupling operator of the retrieval key word is inputted from a retrieving condition inputting device 11. Then, a data base 1 is retrieved based on the inputted input retrieving condition. A significance arithmetic unit 20 extracts an extraction word from retrieved document information, and calculates the significance. Then, the significance of the same extraction word as the retrieval key word is used as the significance of the retrieval key word, and the retrieving condition matching between the inputted retrieving condition and the document information obtained by the retrieval is calculated based on the inputted relevance, significance, and coupling operator, and the calculated significance.
