INFORMATION RETRIEVING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To directly display information at the time of retrieving the same information by making location information for specifying unit information correspond to arbitrary character strings inputted by a user, displaying the character stings as a list at the beginning of the retrieval processing, and selecting it by the operator. CONSTITUTION:An input processing part 3 extracts the instruction of the operator from an input queue buffer 2, and processes various kinds of commands. A display processing part 4 operates the display processing of a screen according to the instruction from the input processing part 3. A display device 5 displays the processed result of the display processing part 4 on the screen. An operation guidance processing part 6 realizes an operation guiding function using an information retrieving device. An information retrieving module 7 retrieves the designated information from an information source preliminarily divided into unit information. An information source 8 is the information to be retrieved by the information retrieving module 7, and the information of the operation guidance of a Japanese word processor. A retrieval address information table 9 turns retrieval address information in which the unit information is combined with the character strings into a table.
