IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To show information only to a user by selectively sending a transmittance modulation signal to a transmittance controller for a window to be recognized only by the user in multi-window and keeping other windows excepting the former window to a transmission state. CONSTITUTION:A screen on an image display device 1 is divided into plural screens, and specific image information are displayed on respective screens. A modulated luminance signal of one picture in these windows is eliminated, and a signal to become white color is inserted instead of that. Naturally, the window of the image display device 1 becomes a white color and displays nothing. At this time, the modulated luminance signal eliminated previously is sent to the driving circuit 6 of the transmittance controller 5 inserted between a view point 3 and the image display device 1 and using a transmissive liquid crystal plate 4 whose transmittance is modulated. Then, the information of an original image appears on the window of the image display device 1 viewing from the view point 3 in spite of that no information of the original image appears on the real window.
