Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To instantaneously switch damping force of a shock absorber from the maximum to the minimum and specify a zero-point position. CONSTITUTION:In a damping force adjusting actuator, comprising a first projection 23 disposed in a rotor 20 and a second projection abutting against the first projection 23, for operating a control rod for adjusting damping force of a damping force variable shock absorber, the axial centers of a magnet 22 and a yoke 30 are shifted in the axial direction, and at least either one of the first and second projections restricts one-way rotation of the rotor in a predetermined position while it does not restrict the other-way rotation.
