SEALED COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE:To reduce the rate of temperature rise of an earth terminal by interposing a heat insulating material such as PBT between the earth terminal and a mounting bolt. CONSTITUTION:A bracket 2 secured to the sealed container 1 of a compressor is provided with a tapped hole 2a and an earth terminal 13 is mounted on the bracket 2 by means of a bolt 14. A heat insulating material 15 such as PBT is interposed between the earth terminal 13 and the bolt 14 and thereby the quantity of heat transferred from the mounting bolt 14 to the earth terminal 13 is reduced so that the rate of temperature rise of the earth terminal 13 can be reduced. Also, the mounting bolt 14 is made from stainless steel and thereby the quantity of heat transferred from the mounting bolt 14 is reduced so that the rate of temperature rise of the earth terminal 13 can be reduced. Further, the rate of temperature rise of the earth terminal 13 can be reduced also on the part of the bracket 2 by reducing the area of the tapped hole portion 2a of the bracket 2 in contact with the tapped hole projecting portion 13b of the earth terminal 13.
