Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To readily obtain recycled paper of high whiteness by using a deinking agent having a higher cloud point than the flotation treating temperature and a deinking agent having a lower cloud point than that, subjecting printed waste paper to the flotation treatment and efficiently peeling the ink from the printed waste paper in disintegration. CONSTITUTION:Printed waste paper which is a raw material is cut to 3X3cm size and placed in a pulp disintegrator. Caustic soda in an amount of 1.0% based on the weight of the raw material printed waste paper, sodium silicate No.3 in an amount of 3.5% based on the weight of the raw material printed waste paper, hydrogen peroxide in an amount of 1.0% (active component) based on the weight of the raw material printed waste paper, a deinking agent having a higher cloud point than the flotation treating temperature (e.g. polyethylene glycol monostearyl ether) and a deinking agent having a lower cloud point than the flotation treating temperature (e.g. lauryloxy- polypropylene oxide-polyethylene oxide-polypropylene oxide-block polymer) are used in combination and hot water is added so as to provide 5% pulp concentration. The disintegrating treatment is then carried out at 35 deg.C and the flotation treatment is performed at 30-50 deg.C to prepare a pulp sheet. Thereby, the recycled pulp of high whiteness with hardly any residual ink is efficiently obtained.
