OUTER PAPER-MOUNTING AND FOLDING METHOD

PURPOSE:To accurately perform paper folding for generating pleats to enhance a commodity value by measuring a remaining paper length and by correcting and controlling the rotational speed of a shuttle bar on the basis of the value of paper length so than the paper length from final pleat to paper tail end becomes a desired value. CONSTITUTION:Whenever a shuttle bar 3 comes to a reference position. it is detected by a sensor 17 and the number of times of operation of the shuttle bar 3 from the start of paper folding is counted. Also, the tail end of a paper is detected by a paper tail end sensor 16 in the middle of paper folding. Further. a corrected pleat pitch is obtained, the corrected number of revolutions of the shuttle bar 3 is obtained from the obtained corrected pleat pitch, and time number of revolutions of a shuttle bar-driving motor 4 is changed. Thus, even if there are errors in the length of a cut paper, in the rotational speed of a coil 14, etc., paper folding stable to the last is always possible and it is unnecessary to correct errors by someone after packing. In addition, a high-accuracy control of paper cutter and rolling apparatus is useless, because these corrections are conducted after various errors till halfway have been corrected.
