SOCKET FOR LAMP

PURPOSE:To prevent a danger of falling of a lamp without contact deficiency due to vibration by forming a plurality of engaging grooves into an L-shape at unequal intervals on a base metal, and allowing an inclination at the back of a lateral groove to project inward from a straight surface. CONSTITUTION:A socket for a lamp comprises a socket body 1 made of porcelain, a base metal 2, and an engaging groove 3. The groove 3 is formed into an L-shape by continuously connecting a vertical groove 4 and a lateral groove 5 from the upper end thereof. An inclination 6 at the back of the lateral groove 5 is formed straight. The inclination 6 of the engaging groove 3 of the base metal 2 may be projected inward from the straight surface. A cylindrical band 8 is disposed in the upper half portion between the inner wall of the socket body 1 and the base metal 2. The cylindrical band 8 in the upper half portion between the inner wall of the socket body 1 and the base metal 2 is formed into an annular shape. An antiseismic projection 9 is formed integrally with the band 8. A plurality of projections 10 are formed in a part of the circumferential wall of the base metal 2 in such a manner as to be engaged with the inner wall of the socket body 1. A light emitting tube is contained inside an outer bulb.
