Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain a new comps. useful for a metallic complex and a diagnostic agent and useful to treat a tumor, etc. CONSTITUTION: This new compd. is a compd. represented by formula I [where R is H or an (OH substd.) 1-6C alkyl, R is an (OH substd.) 1-6C alkylene, R is H, a 1-6C alkyl, carboxymethyl, etc., R is H, an (OH substd.) 1-6C alkyl, etc., R is H or an (OH substd.) 1-6C alkyl, B is pyrrolyl, a group represented by formula II (wherein Z is OH, amino or mercapto and Y is H, carboxyl or sulfonyl), etc., A is amino, mercapto, carboxy, a 2-6C alkynyl, a 2-6C alkenyl, etc.], e.g. 2-methyl-2-(4'-nitrobenzyl)-N,N'-propylene-bis[(5-sulfo)- salicylideneamine]. The compd. represented by formula I is obtd., e.g. by allowing 1,3-propanediamine represented by formula III (where A' is A or a group convertible into A) to react with a compd. represented by formula IV in a polar solvent.
