SEAL RING

PURPOSE:To provide a seal ring, which is stable to an oil temperature change and exhibits good seal performance, by reversing one of two metal rings having the same size and the same shape, which is an abutment joint shape stepped in the radial direction, superposing one metal ring on the other metal ring while aligning their abutment joint parts with each other, and integrally connecting them together by means of welding. CONSTITUTION:Rings A, B are machined by press cutting so that they have abutment joint shapes, which are fitted with each other in the plane of the rings and are stepped in the radius direction, and have uniform thickness in both end parts of the abutment parts. The rings A, B have the same shape and size for the abutment joint parts, and one of the rings is reversed so as to be superposed on the other while jointing both abutment joint parts together, and then, they are welded to make one seal ring. In this way, a seal ring, which is stable to an oil temperature change and is provided with good seal performance, can be produced easily without abrading an aluminum alloy shaft abnormally.
