REMOTE CONTROL TRANSMITTER

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for confirming/discriminating a special command key to be operated by a character or a symbol or the like in the case of remote control operation. CONSTITUTION:The remote control transmitter has a usual command key entry display section 2 on which usual command keys S0-S7 are arranged, a special command key entry section 3 on which special command keys S00-S77 are arranged in an X-Y matrix form, a CPU, a ROM, a RAM and an infrared ray LED or the like. When three special command keys are operated sequentially in a horizontal direction (or nearly in the horizontal direction, or in a forward/backward direction (or nearly in the forward/backward direction), the CPU detects the operating state and reads a command code corresponding to the operating state from the ROM and allows the infrared ray LED to emit an infrared ray modulated based on the command code.
