INPUT CIRCUIT OF SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a simple structure, a small construction area, and small size by performing skimming and partition operation for the input circuit of a solid-state image pick-up device. CONSTITUTION:Two accumulation electrodes 45, 47 are provided on a semiconductor substrate through an insulation film to accumulate electric charges that have been photo-electrically converted by pixels. An isolation electrode 46 is provided between the two accumulation electrodes 45, 47. A transistor 52 sweeps the electric charges that have been accumulated by the accumulation electrode 45 to outside. The depth of the well of potential under one accumulation well 45 is made deeper than that of the well of potential of the other accumulation electrode 47 to accumulate the electric charges from the pixels, and the well of potential under the isolation electrode 46 is eliminated so that the wells of potential under each of two accumulation electrodes 45, 47 are isolated to read only the accumulated electric charges under the other accumulated electrode 47.
