Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To give a proper driving signal to a switching element when a discharge lamp is not lighted. CONSTITUTION:Switching elements Q1 and Q2 connected in series to both ends of DC electric power supply E are turned on and off alternately, and a discharge lamp DL is lighted in a high frequency. A driving signal is given to the positive electrode side switching element Q1 through a pulse transformer PT where a capacitor C5 is connected in series to primary winding (n1) from an oscillating circuit 4. A lighting condition of the discharge lamp DL is detected by a lamp electric current detecting circuit 2. AND of output of an oscillation control circuit 3 and the oscillating circuit 4 is taken up by an AND gate AND1, and when the discharge lamp DL is not lighted, only the negative electrode side switching element Q2 of the DC electric power supply E is turned on and off intermittently. Even when the discharge lamp DL is not lighted, the positive electrode side switching element Q1 of the DC electric power supply E is operated continuously, and transient vibration is prevented from being caused due to an inductance component of the pulse transformer PT and the capacitor C5. |
