IMAGE RECORDER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To provide a small, lightweight and reliable image forming device and an image forming method. CONSTITUTION:The image recorder, equipped with a means 12 for forming an electrostatic latent image on a recording medium 11, a development means 13 for developing the formed electrostatic latent image and a transferring/fixing means for transferring/fixing the development image to a transfer member 14 by superimposing the transfer member on the formed development image and by exerting pressure by means of a pressure roll 15, is provided with a coater 16 that coats the surface of the recording medium 11 with a releasing agent prior to the formation of the electrostatic latent image. The one provided with a photosensitive drum as the recording medium, a contact electrifier and a coater that coats the surface of the recording medium with a releasing agent prior to development after the formation of an electrostatic latent image, is preferable to reduce the size and weight of the device.
