OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To improve reflectivity and recording sensitivity, and to enhance stability against daylight and humidity by containing dyestuffs shown in specified general formula in a recording layer in the title medium conducting write and regenerative recording by a laser. CONSTITUTION:Dyestuffs shown in formula are contained in a recording layer. R1 and R2 in formula represent a 1-6C alkyl group, X ClO4, I and BF4, Y -R3OR4, -R3COOR4, -R5OH, -R5COOZ, and R3 the 1-6C alkyl group, R4 a 1-3C alkyl group and R, a 1-8C alkyl group and Z hydrogen, an alkali metal or an alkali earth metal. Recording layers 2 containing dyestuffs shown in formula are formed onto a substrate 1, and laser beams 3 are converged onto the recording layers 2 as spots in size of 0.8-1.5mum by a condenser lens and recording and regeneration are performed.
