Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain an alkaline liq. detergent compsn. for a metal excellent in solubilizing power and detergency by blending a nonionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant and an alkali with water under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:This alkaline liq. detergent compsn. for a metal has about >=pH10 and consists of 0.01-30wt.% nonionic surfactant having 5-20HLB such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, 0.01-30wt.% anionic surfactant which is ether carboxylic acid or a salt thereof represented by a formula R-X-(OC2H4)nOCH2 COOM [where R is 3-11C satd. or unsatd. aliphatic hydrocarbon, X is -(CH2)- or -(OC3H6)m-, M is H an alkali metal, 1-4C aliphatic amine, ammonium or alkanol, (n) is an integer of 1-6 and (m) is an integer of 1-4], about 2-50wt.% alkali such as NaOH and the balance water. This liq. detergent compsn. has a high concn. of the effective components and satisfactory stability of the liq. state.
