Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve a printing quality by cleaning the surface of a nozzle, by a method wherein suction of ink through the inside of a cap is made easy by improving repellency of the inside of the cap. CONSTITUTION:Paints 2 possessing repellency is applied to the inside of a cap 1 sucking ink by pressing the surface 4 of a nozzle of a recording head 3 and the repellency of the inside of a cap 1 is improved. Thereby, coating built-up of the ink to the inside of the cap 1 is reduced and the ink adhering to the inside of the cap 1 becomes apt to separate from within the cap at the time of removal of the ink adhering to the inside of the cap 1 through suction under a state wherein the cap 1 is separated from the surface 4 of the nozzle and it becomes possible that the ink can be removed almost completely through the suction.
