ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY

PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized electromagnetic relay applicable also to bipolar contact structure. CONSTITUTION:When a coil block 30 is excited, polarity is differed between arm parts 35a, 35b of an iron core 31, and the respective end parts of iron pieces 41a, 41b magnetized to different polarities by a permanent magnet are attracted by magnetic pole parts 37, 38 of the arm parts 35a, 35b having the polarities different from these end parts. Thus, an armature block 40 is rotated within a surface orthogonal to the axial center direction of the coil block 30 with hinge parts 44a, 44b as a center to drive a movable contact piece 29, whereby a movable contact provided in the base block 20 is closed to a fixed contact.
