REPRODUCING DEVICE OF NON-TRACKING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To enable the good execution of reproduction at a tape speed of two-fold the ordinary tape speed with the reproducing device of a non-tracking system which scans recording tracks at density of two-fold the density at the time of recording with a rotary head. CONSTITUTION:Signals of one track are divided to plural blocks and are recorded in the oblique recording tracks of a magnetic tape 2 and track addresses and block addresses are recorded in each of the respective blocks. The rotary head device has heads 13A, 13B which are disposed at 180 deg. angle from each other and have different azimuths. The rotating speeds of the heads 13A, 13B are set two-fold the rotating speeds of the ordinary time and the recording tracks are scanned at the density of two-fold the density at the time of recording when the traveling speed of a tape 2 is set at two-fold the traveling speed of the ordinary time. The reproduced signals from the heads 13A, 13B are rearranged in accordance with the track addresses and block addresses, by which the signals of the respective tracks are obtd.
