DRIVING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To compensate the stop position accuracy of a driving object. CONSTITUTION:Concerning a driving device 10 which provides a detecting means 25 equipped with a prescribed detection range LDET at the stop position of a driving object 13, detects the arrival of the driving object 13 at the stop position based on the detected result of the detecting means 25 when a member 22 to be detected provided at a part of the driving object 13 is detected by the detecting means 25, stops the driving object 13 and drives the driving object 13 with the stop position of the driving object 13 as a reference, the driving object 13 is temporarily stopped at the position where the member 22 to be detected is detected by the detecting means 25, and this driving object 13 is driven just for an amount corresponding to the detection range LDET of the detecting means 25. Thus, since the member 22 to be detected is detected over the entire detection range LDET and the position of the driving object 13 is reset as a reference position over this entire range, the accuracy of the stop position can be compensated by preventing the moving error of the driving object 13 from being accumulated.
