UPPER THREAD FEEDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent an upper thread from being cut or sagged by controlling the rotation of a driving motor which rotates a driving roller according to the forward pitch of a needle in feeding the thread while holding it between the driving roller and a follower roller. CONSTITUTION:The upper thread feeding device is provided with a 1st frame 20 fixed to a sewing machine, and a movable 2nd frame 21 fixed to be movable to the frame 20. The 1st frame 20 is provided with a thread feeding means 22, 1st and 2nd thread holding means 23, 23', and 24. The thread feeding means 22 consists of a driving roller 25 rotated by a motor and follower rollers 26a and 26b which can come into contact with the driving roller 25. The upper thread sent out from a winding bobbin is sent through the thread holding means 23, 23'. thread feeding means 22, and thread holding means 24 to a balance, and it is sent to a needle through the balance. In this case, the driving motor of the driving roller 25 is controlled according to the forward pitch of the needle thereby the upper thread is prevented from being cut and sagged.
