UPPER THREAD FEEDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To simply perform the contracting sewing in feeding the upper thread by controlling the thread feeding of a thread feeding means and the thread holding timing of a thread holding means. CONSTITUTION:The upper thread feeding device is provided with a 1st frame 20 fixed to a sewing machine and a movable 2nd frame 21 fixed to be movable to the frame 20. The 1st frame 20 is provided with a thread feeding means 22, 1st and 2nd thread holding means 23, 23' and 24. The upper thread sent out from a bobbin winding is sent through the 1st thread holding means 23, 23', thread sewing means 22, and 2nd thread holding means 24 to a balance, and it is sent to a needle through the balance. In this case, performing the contracting sewing, the 1st thread holding means 23, 23' and the 2nd thread holding means 24 are controlled to hold the thread faster than the normal timing, reducing the thread feeding amount. Thus, the contacting sewing generating the contracting pulling an object to be sewed by the thread can be performed.
