ORIGINAL FEEDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate a loss time when an original is exchanged by simultaneously staring the carrying of the ejected original and the feeding of the set original even when the originals whose size is different from each other are mixedly placed on a paper supply tray. CONSTITUTION:As for an original feeding device, the first original 25 is set at a reference position P on a platen 3 and the second original 26 is made to stand by on a resist roller 2 positioned on the upstream side of the platen 3. When the first original 25 is ejected from the image processing part 12 of the platen 3, it is temporarily made to stand by at a step feeding part 13 on the platen 3 adjacent to the downstream side of the reference position P. When the second original 26 is ejected from the reference position P on the platen 3, the first original 25 is fed to a paper ejection part 6 from the feeding part 13. Then, the leading edge of the second original 26 being made to stand by is made to project to the more downstream side than the position of the roller 2 by the roller 2 and the projecting quantity tX of the leading edge thereof is controlled according to the size of the first original 25.
