Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a water-soluble contraceptive device which is suitable for a condom, contraceptive film, etc., and is free from environmental pollution and can be easily treated, by forming the device out of the material which is formed by compounding polyoxyethylene nonylphenyl ether into a specific water-soluble polymer. CONSTITUTION:As the material for a water-soluble contraceptive device, such composition is used that is formed by blending polyoxy ethylene nonylphenyl ether with single kind or several compounded kinds among an alkyl oxide group polymer, or polycolic acid having a molecular weight of 16,000-28,000 and IV of 1.0-1.6 and/or poly-1-lactic acid having a molecular weight of 30,000-47,000 and IV of 1.0-1.8, and/or the copolymer of the above-described glycolic acid or (BTC resin) butane-1,2,3,4-tetracarboxylic acid or (PEO) polyethylene oxide. Into the water-soluble polymer, germicidal agents, sterilizing agents, or disinfectants, surfactants, lubricants, color pigments, perfume, etc., are mixed and kneaded.
