Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the property of an oil film floating on the surface of water by performing two-dimensional processing of the infrared rays emitted from the water surface. CONSTITUTION:A thermo-tracer is used, and the image of the surface of the sea is picked up with an infrared-ray detector 2 of the thermo-tracer. The spectrum of the thermal image of the infrared rays is analyzed. The thermo- tracer has a wavelength selector 3, the infrared-ray detector 2, an image processing part 4 and a display part 5. The infrared rays having only the wavelength, which is selected in the wavelength region of 300-5000cm is cast into the infrared-ray detector 2. The image of the detected signal is processed. The two-dimensional thermal image of the intensity distribution of the dispersed infrared rays is displayed on the display device 5. The observed spectrum is analyzed. The presence or absence and the property of the oil film floating on the water surface is determined based on the intensity change in distribution generated in the continuous distribution waveform of the infrared rays emitted from the water surface.
