HIGH-RISE WAREHOUSE

PURPOSE:To attain high storage efficiency in a small space by providing small bays in large bays, and providing detecting devices for judging the size of storage objects on entry conveying devices in the bays of a high-rise warehouse. CONSTITUTION:A reception section 12 mounting a storage object is provided at the center section of a large bay having reception sections 12a, 12b on the right and left in the bay W of a high-rise warehouse, and small storage objects 11 are stored on the reception section 12 and the reception sections 12a, 12b on both sides. The stop position of a stacker crane is set to the address B1 as before for a large bay, and it is set to the address B2 for a small bay. An entry/delivery bogie 15 is provided with detecting devices 20-22 for judging the size and the number of the storage objects. For the entry, the size of the storage object on the bogie 15 is judged, a vacant shelf of a small bay of the reception sections 12a, 12 or the reception sections 12, 12b is searched to decide the entry shelf, and the stacker crane is controlled.
