CUTTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the generated quantity of paper powder by using a double- edge blade or a single-edge blade with a specific cutting edge angle and with mirror like surface machining applied to the cutting edge, as a cutter blade in a cutting device formed of a rotor with the cutter blade and a blade receiving side rotor without a cutter blade. CONSTITUTION:A push-cut type cutter device used for cutting coated paper is formed of a cutter rotor 1 fitted with a cutter blade 2, and a blade receiving side rotor 3 disposed in the lower position without a cutter blade, and the paper is cut into fixed length measure by rotating these rotors 1, 3 at the same speed as the paper speed. The cutter blade 2 is to be a single-edge blade or a double- edge blade with mirror like surface machining applied thereto. In the case of the single-edge blade, the cutting edge angle is set to 30 or less. In the case of the double-edge blade, the cutting edge angle is set to 40 deg. or less. With the use of the cutter blade 2 with mirror like surface machining applied thereto, the micro unevenness of the cutting edge surface is made small so as to reduce the quantity of paper powder generated by friction with paper.
