SOLID ELECTROLYTIC FUEL CELL

PURPOSE: To provide an improved fuel cell structure suitable for a multi-cell or a honeycomb fuel cell structure. CONSTITUTION: A fuel cell structure 40 comprises a first lower structure including a soft electrolyte sheet 42 formed of a positive electrode layer 44 including a positive electrode grid 45 connected at the upper face of the sheet 42 and a negative electrode layer 46 including a negative electrode grid 47 connected to the bottom face of the sheet 42. A second lower structure similarly constituted with a corrugated sheet 50 held therebetween is connected to the bottom face of the negative electrode layer 46 with a negative electrode facing upward. Similarly, a third lower structure is connected to the bottom face of the second lower structure with another corrugated sheet 50a held therebetween with a positive electrode facing upward. The corrugated sheets 50, 50a are made of thin, soft ceramic and is used as constituents of an electrolyte lower structure having flexibility from the structural view, thus improving physical, thermal and electric properties of the fuel cell structure 40.
