DEVELOPING METHOD

PURPOSE: To obtain images having high quality and high resolution by developing the images with a developer of a specific temp., then followed by fixing. CONSTITUTION: The developer contains coloring agents and a substantial amt. of vehicles having a m.p. of at least about 25 deg.C and has at least a m.p. of at least about 25 deg.C. The developer has a viscosity of about =10 Ω.cm at the temp. above the m.p. of the developer. This image-forming method includes a stage of developing the electrostatic latent images by bringing the developer described above into contact with the latent images, while maintaining the developer at the temp. above its m.p. or, in the case of the coloring agents having photosensitivity, placing the developer between two electrodes, exposing the coloring agents with light images while impressing voltage across the electrodes, to adhere the coloring agent particles onto the electrodes to an image shape and to form (develop) the images, then cooling the developed images to a temp. lower than the m.p. after the development.
