Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enhance the measuring accuracy for rainfall intensity. CONSTITUTION:A CAPPI processing unit 7 identifies the kind of rainfall according to the received power of meteorological echoes classified by elevation, and selects and sets conversion constants B and beta according to the kind of rainfall. An arithmetic processing unit 8 converts the received power into a radar reflection factor, which is then converted into rainfall intensity for output to a display device, etc. The conversion factors B and beta set by the CAPPI processing unit 7 are used in converting the radar reflection factor into rainfall intensity. Since the conversion process is effected according to the kind of rainfall, the measuring accuracy is enhanced.
